Spiral Drawing Test

Draw or photograph an Archimedean spiral. Our HOG + SVM model (LOO-AUC 0.899, trained on 102 clinical drawings) analyses the shape for Parkinson's motor indicators. A photo of a pen drawing gives the most accurate result.

Provide a spiral drawing

Choose your input method. A photo of a hand-drawn spiral on paper is closest to the training data and gives the most reliable result.

📝 How to get the best result:
1. Draw an Archimedean spiral on plain white paper with a dark pen — start from the centre, spiral outward, 4–5 loops.
2. Take a photo in good lighting, flat on a desk, spiral filling most of the frame.
3. Upload the photo below.

Trace the blue spiral guide from the centre outward. Note: mouse drawing is less accurate than a pen photo since the model was trained on clinical pen drawings.
